When traveling with your wigs on an airplane, it is a good idea to keep any additional hair prosthesis that you are taking in your carry on bag. Many times there can be a fluctuation in temperature in the luggage compartment of the airplane. Extreme heat can damage a synthetic wig or prosthesis.
In the summer months if traveling by car, never leave the synthetic prosthesis or wig in the car even for short periods of time. The temperature may rise in a closed car and the intense heat could permanently damage the fiber or hair.
